What happens during my first appointment?
Your first appointment is a comprehensive consultation where we discuss your symptoms, health concerns, medical and family history, lifestyle habits, and any factors influencing your well-being. Your clinician will review past lab work or medical records (please send these in advance). At the end of the visit, your clinician will outline initial recommendations and determine which laboratory tests are appropriate.
Are your services covered by OHIP or insurance?
Functional Medicine is presently not covered under OHIP.
Some insurance carriers may cover medical services and laboratory tests performed by our clinicians. We can provide a detailed receipt for services performed for you to submit to your insurance carrier directly.
How do I become a patient?
You may begin by contacting us via email, phone, or our website inquiry form. You will be invited to a brief 15-minute discovery call to ensure our care aligns with your needs before booking your initial consultation.
Please note that Sophia is currently working exclusively through structured Functional Medicine programs.
The details of each 3–6 month program will be reviewed with you during your first consultation, and Sophia will recommend the program she feels best supports your goals. You will always have the option to choose the program that feels most aligned for you.

What should I do before my appointment?
You will receive intake forms and required documents to complete before your first visit. Please also upload or email any previous lab results or medical records so your clinician can review them ahead of time.
Do I still need a primary care provider?
Yes. We kindly request that all patients maintain an ongoing relationship with their primary care provider for routine care, screening, acute concerns, and medication management. At Live For You, we serve as your Functional and Integrative Medicine partner and are happy to collaborate with your primary provider when appropriate.
How are appointments conducted?
All appointments are offered virtually through secure telemedicine.
